The Family Ministry (Nursery-High School) exists to help our young people find and follow Jesus. We accomplish this by creating safe and engaging environments for every stage of development and growth.
Our Family Ministry follows a five-fold approach:
Priority
The priority is to clearly teach and help every student comprehend the gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything we do points to and flows from the gospel.
Principles
Each lesson also teaches timeless biblical principles. We believe it is important to teach big truths that students can grow into, rather than small truths they will grow out of.
Practical
We make every effort to bring the principles to the practical, applying the timeless truths of the Bible to everyday life.
Peers
We strive to create environments and opportunities that cultivate Christ-centered friendships. We believe that meaningful shared experiences help students develop a deeper relationship with God and with one another.
Partnership
We believe that the church and the home must work together to help our young people follow Jesus. We provide resources and updates to help parents disciple their children.
Family Ministry Overview
Our commitment to the families that come to The Well is to provide care and to minister to each child, helping them find and follow Jesus. We provide a safe and secure environment for every age. Everyone in our family ministries have been interviewed and background-checked, before they come in contact with your children. We ask families to arrive a few minutes early to ensure a smooth check-in and drop-off.
The Well Family
Families with young children are welcome to bring their infant/child into the main worship service.
The Well Nursery (0-18 months)
After checking in your child, please bring them to the lower floor. Please drop them off with a change of clothes, extra diapers, and anything else that they may need to feel comfortable. We provide loving, safe, nurturing, and sanitary care for our babies. Our ministry responsibilities include playing with the child or directing his/her play, reading, and praying for each baby, exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and relating the events of the day to the lesson and theme in words our youngest members can understand.
The Well Toddlers (19-36 months)
After checking in your child, please bring them to the lower floor to the Toddler classroom. We provide safe, structured, and age-appropriate environments for your children. We use The Gospel Project curriculum, which teaches through the Bible and connects it all back to Jesus. We have organized praise and worship, and do crafts or handouts in class as aligned with the lesson for the week.
The Well Pre-K (3-5 years)
After checking in your child, please bring them to the lower floor to the Pre-K classroom. We provide safe, structured, and age-appropriate environments for your children. We use The Gospel Project curriculum, which teaches through the Bible and connects it all back to Jesus. We have organized praise and worship, and do crafts or handouts in class as aligned with the lesson for the week.
The Well Kids (Kindergarten to 5th grade)
After checking in your child, please bring them to the upper floor. We use The Gospel Project curriculum, which teaches through the Bible and connects it all back to Jesus. We partner with our kid's parents by providing resources of the session in our weekly newsletters, as well as follow-up questions to discuss at home throughout the week. Our volunteers prepare weekly with prayer, crafts, and activities for your children to draw closer to God.
The Well Students (6th to 12th grade)
Students will join their parents at the main worship service every Sunday. This intergenerational service encourages our students to grow as a part of the greater community and creates an opportunity for parents to further disciple their children.
After Hour
Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, the students will meet from 12pm-2pm. Our student ministry team will help facilitate discussion that is relevant to the students life stage.
